Abstract
This study was performed in order to measure the relationship between perianal hygiene and incidence rate of hemorrhoid through random sampling among hemorrhoidal patients and healthy person by the use of a questionnaire.
The results were as follows ,
1. The occurrence of hemorrhoid was decreased by the education about perianal hygiene.
2. Most patients could live in comfort daily life by anal hygiene and early treatment.
3. The male-female ratio was i. 33 : 1.
4. The clinical symptoms were anal bleeding, anal pain, and prolapsed mass in order of frequency.
5. The types of hemorrhoid were internal hemorrhoid, external hemorrhoid, mixed, and circular hemorrhoid in order or frequency.
6. The predilection sites of hemorrhoid were RP?RA?LL.
7. In most of cases, duration of the disease was over 1 year.
8. Mean hospital days of patients were 11.6 days.
9. The most common post-operative complication was urinary retention. But it was treated well by conservative management.
